That means TalkTalk had issues. User TrevorG had issues too and switched to Gmail.
Thunderbird was not updated "again"

What else can you tell us? It sounds like it is really not configured or that there is an Antivirus blocking it maybe.
There has been no problem with this E-mail system until the last few days is it due to a software update as no other changes have been made. Is it perhaps the only option to delete this software and down load the latest version??????.
If there has been a recent update to Thunderbird then it is possible that the AV software which may also control your Firewall may be not recognising the updated Thunderbird as the same program.
So you first need to close thunderbird and access your Firewall. Thunderbird needs to be an allowed program.
If Thunderbird is not in the list of allowed programs then you need to add it. If Thunderbird was already set as allowed, then block it, ok it, then access Firewall again and set to be allowed. then start up Thunderbird.
Report back on what you discover with firewall settings. What AV program are you using? Was Thunderbird set up as an allowed program ?
Hi
Thanks for your prompt E-mail but unable to find Thunderbird in the Firewall list or even add it as you suggested.
Thunderbird has worked well for the past months it is only recently it is refusing to communicate with TAlKTAlK.
Should i just change to Gmail??.
Carrying on with my old Windows Live Mail at this time
Hi Thanks for your time but now all is well as it would appear that Thunderbird must have issued an update to overcome a problem with an earlier update by them
