Hello been using nightly over the last month and its been very stable for me but within the last week I've noticed when clicking in the address bar it gets large. Which im guess was to make it easier to read?? but the text inside the address bar remains the same size Is this a work in progress? or am i missing a setting.

It's the new MegaBar that will replace the actual one and yes it's still in development. You should expect strange behavior especially on the compact theme.

If you want to temporarily disable it, you can change the value of browser.urlbar.megabar to false in about:config.

Also, you can follow the meta bug on Bugzilla if you wish to know all about the redesign of the QuantumBar.
