strange pop up when logging in

When I log into Amazon, the ID is entered as usual. When the screen changes to enter the password an additional box opens up asking for a pin as shown in the attached image. It says it is from Windows security, but also says Firefox is making the request. None of the pins I know of work. Fortunately clicking on cancel clears the box and the PW can be entered.

Is Windows Security, Firefox, Password manager, anti-virus program, etc. generating the box. Would love to have it stop popping up. Suggestions please.
