Some pages and gadagets "collapse" (minimize?) the instant they appear. Why?

One gadget that is always minimized on my iGoogle home page is Foxnews.com. From time to time the pages from other sites open momentarily then collapse so that the content cannot be seen. My platform is Windows 7 and Firefox version is 6.0.2 I can see the Foxnews content by maximizing the gadget but on restore it minimizes immediately. Wassup?

Thank you for your input but I finally found the solution through trial and error since I posted the problem. I went to Tools>Add-Ons and started disabling add-ons (I have a bunch of them). I found that disabling iGoogle Tab Remover 1.9.8 (which wasn't doing anything anyway - I use Remove-It-Permanently 1.0.6.10 to hide the hated iGoogle Home tab) cured the problem. Evidently Tab Remover is not compatible with this version of Firefox. I'd tried this once before but didn't close and reopen the browser so I never saw the effect. This time I remembered to cycle the browser and the cure was evident.
