All my emails (from different accounts) are forwarded to the same email address. I'd like to be able to answer with the same account I originally received the mail and there is an option in the account settings to select a different identity depending on the address to which I originally received the email. The problem is it doesn't work properly because the selected email address for the answer is simply a weird non existent address and I have to manually select the right identity to use.

Hello. Running OS Sonoma 14.6.1; Mac desktop has 64GB memory; Zip file = 6.39 GB Recently, I had to export my e-mails from Thunderbird into a zip file in order to get my e-mail account online again. Now that the account is operating again, I want to import the e-mails from the zipped folder. However, when I tried to unzip the file, I get a message from Archive Utility stating, "Unable to expand 'Thunderbird_profile_backup.zip' into 'Teksavvy email backup.' (Error 1 - Operation not permitted.) Archive Utility is part of the Mac platform, so I then tried ExpressZip, followed by WinZip. With ExpressZip, the unzipped file shows a mail folder with: - Archives (empty) - Archives s.b.d. folder (empty) - Templates (empty) - Trash.sbd folder, with one file, "Emails with bookmarks" — Does this mean that the emails were not exported and zipped? Suggestions as to what to do next, please? regards, Alison

Hello,

I have been a Thunderbird user for about 5 years, but recently, I haven't been able to access the old emails I sent.

It seems like they are completely broken. Is there any way to fix them?

Previously, when I clicked on these emails, they would show a blank screen.

After updating the system, I can no longer see my emails from 2-3 years ago.

I would appreciate your support in resolving this issue.

Thank you!

I have been using Thunderbird for the last 2 years. I recently changed my laptop and decided not to migrate all the "junk" that had accumulated on my old laptop, and start fresh. I reloaded Thunderbird, no problem, I added various email accounts. But, to my surprise, my email account lgr@le.-......rs.com, which worked well on the old laptop, does not connect at all. it does not receive any mails at all. Curiously, on my old laptop, receiving emails was problem free, but I could not send any emails from that account. my normal other accounts (3) all work without issues. I have checked all the settings for each of these accounts, but cannot see an obvious mistake. Any ideas please to lgr@c2s-global.com

Thanks

Hi all,

Thunderbird keeps asking for authentication for account/server that is no longer in use or visible in account settings. I have tried to remove every trace of the account but the modal with authentication request keeps popping up.

At the same time a folder keeps getting created with the email mbox titled Retreat 2023_152728082023export. Some backstory, I use Thunderbird as my main mail client but sometimes use it to transfer emails from one webhost to another for clients.

I use the add-on for exports for this. However, this client transfer has been finished a while ago. The plugin for exports has been uninstalled and the account is not listed in the account settings page. Are there any other locations I need to check/remove the account from?

All help would be appreciated as currently I get this notification multiple times per hour and on every open.

Thanks in advance!

Daan
