Why can't I get access to cnn money anymore.
I used to be able to access "cnn money" website without any trouble but in the past two weeks or so, I kept getting error (Server not found) as below. Yesterday I thought I was able to do that but after a few minutes I got the same problem. Can someone help please.
Thanks.
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at money.cnn.com.
Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

This Connection is Untrusted is sometimes caused because the computer system clock is wrong. Check the time / date / time zone settings.
Hi there,
Thank you for your assistance, unfortunately it still hasn't solved my problem. I tried such as clearing the cache/cookies, removing and adding Firefox in Windows allowed programs, checking for malware using Microsoft defender, disabling IPv6 and checking the Time/Date settings
By the way I tried accessing CNN Money using Internet Explorer, still the same issue.
Is there any other suggestions or ideas you have please.
Thank you very much,

Hi there, By the way I tried accessing CNN Money using Internet Explorer, still the same issue.
That means the computer is blocking access to that site. Are others blocked?
As a test, disable your protection programs and try again.
No I can get access to other sites, CNN Money seems to be the only one I have problem with. I am a bit lost with the Protection programs you mentioned, are you referring to Windows Defender or Windows firewall?
Thanks,
That and anything else. As a test only.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Just wanted to thank you both for trying to help me out, I think I am giving up. I haven't tried any check for any malware yet (I am still deciding whether it is worth the hazzles) since I tried with Windows Defender and the scan didn't show any problems. I realised that there are so many malwares around and anyone of them can infect the specific website (CNN Money) . I was hoping that my problem has a very simple solution.
Thanks again maybe I'll just forget the CNN Money for a while.
You can at least try AdwCleaner as this targets other kinds of malware.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.
Thanks, I installed and ran the ADwCleaner and fixed lots of problems (thanks for the suggestions) but still has not fixed the CNN Money problem unfortunately. :(
By the way cor - el, I did run the Windows in safe mode but still not solved,
Try to other malware scanners, especially since you appear to have had issues on your computer just to be sure.
You can try a different DNS server.
Dear cor-el and FredMcD,
Thank you for your assistance. This morning I am able to access the cnn money. I think you guys are right about the DNS server issue. I used my laptop to access the cnn money connecting via Wi Fi using tethering hotspot on my mobile phone and was able to do that. Then when I tried to access it using my PC, it works.
I am still not sure why it works on my PC (perhaps somehow the DNS server has changed?). :)
