thunderbird is deleting my email on server, even though set not to
My emails on the server are being deleted after I delete them on Thunderbird. I have set Thunderbird NOT TO delete on server. This happens whether it's IMAP or POP. Is there any way to fix this? Otherwise will have to go back to Mac Mail :(

Let's look at a couple of facts IMAP email is server based. If you delete the message while viewing it with Thunderbird or any other device, you are deleting it from the server. There is no option to Leave on the server when the account is added to Thunderbird as IMAP. It is server based. The messages are always on the server. This option only appears when using POP.
