Firefox 48.0 and Freezes
As has been the case with each new update, I recently updated to Firefox 48.0. Since then, I've noticed the longer I get into a session, the more it starts to freeze. It seems to be using quite a bit more memory than even just the immediate previous version of Firefox. When I have to exit the browser when this becomes unbearable, it usually crashes 30 or so seconds after exiting. I get a plug-in container error. This is now to the point, where it's not even worth it to use the browser.
Anyone else having this problem with the new update? I'm pretty sure I have the system specs to run this, all plug-ins are up to date, all graphic drivers are up-to-date, I've experimented with turning on and off hardware acceleration in the browser to no avail. What problem(s) was/were the update supposed to be fixing?

Plugin-container issues nearly always are Flash issues. Could you try the steps in this article: Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again.

My Flash plug-in isn't crashing in the browser, though. I went ahead, however, and disabled hardware acceleration in my Flash settings, so I'll see if that changes anything.

I am having the same problem! Crash in any page! Processor very high! After update 48.0.
Hi Estevaomd, when I read your new question, it seems that you have "freezes" where Firefox becomes Not Responding for some time and then it becomes available again. This is different from a crash where Firefox closes. When Firefox crashes, it captures information about the crash, but when Firefox freezes it doesn't capture any useful information for us to review.
Could you check this article: Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix

Ok.. So, I am having the "Freezes" and it is use processor and memory very high in any page! Even so, I already follow theses steps and it is not working.

I've tagged this thread for the help desk to review. I don't personally have any other immediate thoughts.
Ok, Jscher2000!
Thank you for your help!
I am going to hope for it or another way to fix it!
(Sorry for the English!)
If the consumption of resources in the PC is being high, it is recommended to keep When available, use hardware acceleration marked. Active Telemetry helps us identify and fix problems with new updates. If there constantly freezes, the restoration can help. Complements podender require many PC resources, so we recommend not add many supplements or go testing supplement for addition to trying to find the cause of the problem.
I will close this thread as there is now
