Files not saved prior to wiping laptop
My laptop was cleaned /wiped and Windows reinstalled. The technician saved "all" my files first, but my Thunderbird folders weren't saved. How would this have happened? Would they have had to be found and saved separately from everything else on my laptop?

Thunderbird data is stored in a profile folder in the %APPDATA% directory, which every Windows user account explicitly has. SeeProfiles - Where Thunderbird stores your messages and other user data
If they backed up the entire C:\Users\<username> folder, then they need not make a separate backup for Thunderbird's data.
