When I use firefox to surf a web site, there is ads shown when my mouse over images; but other browser like Chrome NOT. Is my firefox being hacked? If not why?
Is it Firefox problem? Or the Windows problem? And how can I solve the problem? Please help, thanks.

hello, you probably have malicious addons present. please perform all these steps:
- reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
- afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
- finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.

First check your options;
Type about:preferences in the address bar and press Enter. Select Content and turn on Block pop-up windows.
If you still have problems; Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good add / pop-up blocker.
I guess the ads from not from that site, because of two reasons. Firstly, no ads when using Chrome. Secondly, the ads not likely come from that site (or some site), I mean maybe some malware or firefox add-on show the ads, and I afraid they could access my personal data. Please the attached image.

Problem solved after step 1 and 2. Thanks!
