Hello, I've been noticing for a while now that some greasemonkey scripts like "google books downloader" are not working. What I mean by that is the script is supposed to add a button "download this book" on the left panel from which you can select from the available pages. Since Firefox 29 or so the button seems to have disappeared. I tried the same script on Chrome and worked just as before meaning its a Firefox issue. The problem is I don't want to use Chrome. So, I hope someone here can help out. Thanks.

Is your GreaseMonkey extension up to date? There have been a number of updates released since April, when Firefox 29 was released. Many changes for compatibility due to changes made in Firefox.

Greasemonkey 2.3 is the current version https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/

Thanks for your reply. I have tried all versions of greasemonkey that are compatible with Firefox 30-33. I am not saying that scripts are not running. I am complaining that the script "Google Books Downloader" does not run on any of the greasemonkey versions when used with Firefox 30-33. However, when used with older versions of firefox, the script runs. For example, I have a portable version of Firefox 3.5.5 (2009) and the script works. Will it possible for you to try that and confirm the anomaly ? Thanks.
