fire fox crashes every time i try to insert a file into my hotmail emails from my desktop, I have to create a new folder in my documents, every time I send a new e#mail with attachements, photos ,dxf files, and pdfs, i can only put two or three files into a folder, i send the email then have to delete the folder and create a new one for next time,this has been happening over the pst 4 months, bought a new computer 6 weeks ago and still happening with new computer, fire fox latest edition, run AVG and malware, on regular basis, does not happen in gmail, thaks Ray Ridley

Hi Ray Ridley , I can understand that the work around for attaching files from a new folder is frustrating. And I also understand that hotmail's limit for attachments is 10MB or 25MB, however please make sure that you java is up to date:

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

thanks very much downloading java cured the problem
