The connection is only the first step: after Firefox connects successfully, it has to retrieve the content and display it. Are you getting an error, a blank page, a partial page, etc?
I was not connected to website. next to website name is "i" and green lock which I clicked on. Says "secure connection".
What appears in the normal area where you should see the page?
Do you want to share the address of the page to see whether others can load it?
blank.
I don't think I have a Schwab account. Are you starting on this page?

Can you check to make sure you do not block redirects here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
In the left column, click Advanced. On the right side, with the "General" mini-tab active, uncheck the box for "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" if it is checked.
(That is an accessibility feature intended for users of screen reading software and not a general-purpose tool of value to most users.)
when I type www.schwab.com this is what I get -
https://www.schwab.com/public/schwab/client_home (yellow triangle at beginning and no green lock) Connection not secure in red when click on yellow triangle.
and a "home page" to sign into schwab account. This was not happening before.
I checked "menu button" / Advanced/ General tab. No checkmark "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page".
A gray lock with a yellow/orange triangle indicates a problem with the security of the page, either:
(1) Weak encryption, which increases the possibility someone who intercepts your communications can decrypt and read them, or
(2) Mixed content, which means there are images in the page that were not retrieved over a secure connection
Could you look up the description of the connection in the Page Info dialog? Either:
- right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Security"
- (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security
- click the padlock or "i" icon in the address bar, then the ">" button, then More Information
At the bottom of the Security panel Firefox should provide information about the connection. I am attaching what I see as a reference point. What does yours say?
I don't know how to print the screen so you can see my information.
Security Tab
Website Identity
website: www.schwab.com owner: this website does not supply ownership information verified by: not specified
It does say "connection partially encrypted" under technical details.
Okay, that sounds like mixed content. To see what it is, you could try this:
Open Firefox's Web Console in the lower part of the tab using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+k
- menu button > Developer > Web Console
Then reload the page (Ctrl+r). Messages will accumulate in the console. To find just the ones related to mixed content, type mix in the box above the list on the right that says Filter content and pause while Firefox filters the list. I have attached an example for illustration.
What is the source of the non-secure content?

Those console messages look like something from this site. Did you view the console on Schwab's site or was it blank there? Try typing mix in the filter box to find the most relevant messages.
