Hi There,

I am writing new thunderbird extension which can support thunderbird 68+ version. As XUL Is deprecated now, I am not using it. I am using HTML, javascript, CSS to built my extension.

Currently I have created sample add on as per the steps mentioned at https://developer.thunderbird.net/add-on-examples/hello-world-add-on

But for some purpose I need to add ChromeUtils.import("resource://gre/modules/ctypes.jsm"); and some other JSM module in my page script.

After adding that line (similar line for other JSM module)page script, thunderbird error console shows below error ReferenceError: ChromeUtils is not defined.

I know there are lot of changes with TB68 specifically in context of API. Older version thunderbird support the ChromeUtils but TB 68 throws error.

So is there any way to use ChromeUtils in thunderbird 68 + version ?

Thanks, Jayesh

This is not the place to get help with add-on development.

A good place would be https://discourse.mozilla.org/c/thunderbird/addons/255
