Firefox cannot determine the app to use for a .php file
In prior versions of Firefox, a downloaded .php file would open automatically by it's file type, ie .pdf, .doc, etc and would be opened by the application assigned to it. Now I receive and error message: ""show_document.php" is a script application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?" But it doesn't open now, but instead saves it to the desktop. Further, when the file is known to be a text file, it would previously merge client information into the text/letter template. No longer. I am at my wits end.

You can try "Reset Download Actions": http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_and_download_actions
I have reset the Firefox download/open file actions but i continue to see the warning message: "print_wordtemp.php" is a script application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?" with options to Cancel or Open. Open" doesn't open the download but saves the file as "print_wordtemp.php". If the extension is changed to .doc, .txt or .pdf (assuming the file type is known), then it will open in the appropriate app. Odd that this worked automatically in the prior version of Firefox and on OSX 10.4.11 Any add'l suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is a common download procedure.
