I'm using Canvas, an educational portal. Every time I click on a PDF, FireFox automatically downloads the PDF to the downloads directory. When I'm not using Canvas, FireFox asks me where to save the PDF. This behavior is very annoying, as I have to perform extra steps to make sure that files are saved to the correct directory.

What setting do I need to check to force FireFox to require all downloads to ask where to be saved.

See subject line !!! Been working for years. I download lots of information every month with no problem. Tried a few "old" solutions from previous posts to no avail. Please fix for next version. Thank you.

Hello, I have an issue in Firefox browser. My operating system is the latest version of Kali Linux, and I am using Firefox ESR version 128.5.0esr Also, I don’t have any extensions installed on my browser, and the default theme is active.

Sometimes, an empty HTML file with a random name, such as LmFPlKJM.html, gets downloaded. This has happened to me twice so far. Both times, it happened while I was on a website that I had configured the server for. However, I didn’t do anything on the page; suddenly, I saw that the file was downloaded. I wanted to check the download link for these files, so I right-clicked and clicked "Copy Link" in the download tab, but the link showed as about:blank. Can you guide me on what this issue might be? Is it dangerous?

I ahve just bought a new mac, and used the Migration Assistant to transfer all data and systems. It has worked well, except my co0mputer will not allow me to downl;oad any file or program now? Any assistance would be appreciated.
