The developer of FastestFox seems to have disappeared, and I really like the add-on. So I thought that maybe I can take over the project myself and keep it up-to-date since the original author has dropped off the face of the Earth. I've sent him emails, but his email is no longer available and I got a reply from the "post master". yongqli cannot be contacted.

What kind of tool do I need to get this add-on current with the rapid release program.

Thank you, Todd

You can't "Take over" an add-on without the developer's consent. I believe Add-on licensing allows you to create your own version so long as you attribute the author, but I'm not sure. I'd spend some time at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/
