when i shut my computer down last night my inbox had 9000+ messages. today when i stated thunderbird my inbox had 34. how can i get my emails back. i use netaddress as my e-mail server and i deleted almost all of messages from my in box folder before i closed my computer last night.

Do you happen to have any message filters in play that might have had emails dropped into per filtering rulesets?
Is the remote email server IMAP(S) or POP(S)?
Are 'local folders' in use?
