National Geographic videos don't work
You tube videos work fine. National Geographic videos have sound, but no pictures. The same videos work fine on chrome.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

You can consider uBlock Origin as a replacement for Adblock Plus to see if that works better (lower memory footprint).

Can you please try getting updated Drivers for your Video Card NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800 No idea if Desktop or Laptop so you need to choose some options on the page https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us Your drivers are from driverDate: 11-14-2016 Hoping you can get a update for them as that may fix the issue.
You may want to think of removing the WOT - Web of Trust Extension. https://www.pcmag.com/news/349328/web-of-trust-browser-extension-cannot-be-trusted (I pulled of my website) You can find much better alternatives here : https://alternativeto.net/software/wot/
So lets see how you make out on the Driver update and with luck will be in Africa by Morning ....
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Nvidia doesn't have any later drivers. Couldn't use automatic search since that requires Java, and Firefox doesn't support that (according to Nvidia). Manual search got nothing. I did delete WOT, but still no pictures.
What else can I do?
Thanks, Sheila
Could you pls provide the exemplary link of this video?

Many thanks!! The problem was Adblock Plus. The videos work fine now with Ublock-origin. I appreciate the help!!
