The former versions showed the saftylock in the status bar when visiting a safe website with a safe certificate. This is not visible anymore allthough I installed the add on S4E.

It is very important to see this lock when visiting a safe web site!

The status bar as it was in earlier versions does not exist anymore. I am surmising that one reason for removing the old padlock may have been that it was two easy to spoof. The info now shows up on the site identity button at the end of the location bar where you type in web addresses.

You should be able to see that as blue whilst on this messageboard, clicking it brings up further information, including a padlock.
