I want to use a PERSONAL theme, one *I* have created, but do not want to share or submit.

Since RedShift has gone wonkers due to the myriad of updates to Firefox (which makes me wonder as to the stability of it), I have created my own set of images to use as a "theme". It appears that the only way to use said theme is to submit it to whatever powers may be. Can I create a theme for my SOLE use?

Thanx, cor-el. Someone emailed me the same solution, to the point that it appears identical (copy / paste??) It did not / does not work. That was suggested to me by the person who emailed me that cloned "solution".

I have spent the last hour looking for a way to remove this particular question as being HOPELESS. I made the sad error of asking How in the Help Forums. Silly me....

Copy the image files that have the persona images as lightweighttheme-header and lightweighttheme-footer to the Firefox profile folder (xxxxxxxx.default).

The images will be copied to the lwtheme folder and you need to delete the files in this folder to make Firefox use a new Persona. Set the lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref to make Firefox use the Persona images. You can change the values of background "accentcolor":"#" and "textcolor":"#" to make the text show properly and possibly change the name and author as well.

Set these prefs on the about:config page.

lightweightThemes.isThemeSelected = true
lightweightThemes.persisted.footerURL = true
lightweightThemes.persisted.headerURL = true

lightweightThemes.usedThemes:

[{"id":"1","name":"Unknown","headerURL":"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/","footerURL":"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/","textcolor":"#","accentcolor":"#","iconURL":"","previewURL":"","author":"Unknown","updateURL":"","version":"1.0","updateDate":"","installDate":""}]
