Firfox wants to update every day, but it doesn't work

more options

Every day when I sit down at my computer, a box pops up that says I need to update firefox. I have tried clicking "update," and it just thinks, for hours, and never actually does anything. I have checked my settings, and supposedly I have it set to run updates automatically, but when I click to see the update history there is nothing there. How do I get this to stop?

Please go to www.getfirefox.com, and download a new version of Firefox. After downloading it, close Firefox, and install the new version you downloaded. It will replace the old version of Firefox but save all your data.
