firefox hover over a history / bookmark = screws my location bar address
Hi, When I go to the location bar to type a site, such as dailymail.co.uk the site comes up with my history / bookmarks, but if my mouse is hovered over one of them and then closes that dropdown or if it closes by itself by me typing something else onto the end of it or a different part of the link, it will still go to the site from my dropdown hover when I don't want it to. It just totally disregards what I want to go to in my location bar and I have to have my cursor off of the screen or far away from the location bar / dropdown to be able to go to a specific site without it reverting to my history / bookmarks
I'm not bothered about seeing my bookmarks and history there, and I don't want to remove it, the problem is I DON'T want it auto selecting it when I don't want to go to it, or when i cancel the hover by typing something else, I don#t want it sending me to a history / bookmark, like typing dailymail.co.uk and it sends me to like forums.darkfallonline.com regardless of what I type in the location bar...
it's frustrating and it's only been happening for the past 2 months i think it is, but anyway to actually GET RID OF THIS?
thanks.

If it is caused by having the mouse pointer in the drop down area of the location bar drop-down list then yes. You would have to remove the mouse pointer from that drop down area to avoid this issue. You can use the Ctrl+L or Alt+D shortcut to set focus to the location/address bar.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to Troubleshoot the issue and to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
Neither of those solved my problem (had already tried searching for this info beforehand)

so cor-el you are saying there isn't a fix until mozilla fix it themselves? :/
