ariel maybe this will help convince you that you should use 33.0.2 and not 32.0.3 as 33.0 has security fixes that 32.0.3 does not have.

Hello,

New versions are released every 6 weeks, so waiting a few months wouldn't make sense. Firefox undergoes alpha and beta testing before it is released, so many bugs are removed before the "latest" version goes out to everybody.

You should definitely update to version 32.0.3 at the very least, major security fixes have been released for that version. It is still highly recommended you use the latest version though to keep up to date with newer security updates.

You can get the latest version by going to: Help > About Firefox Or download a fresh copy at: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

If you are sure you want to use Firefox 32.0.3, you can download it here:

EDIT: I should mention that if you want to use a version that does not have frequent updates to the interface but still maintains the security patches, you should use Firefox Extended Support Release (currently on version 31.2.0):

In a few months Firefox will be at oh 35.0 so 33.0 will since be EOL. The 32.0 is already EOL.

This is not like Firefox 4.0 and earlier snail pace of large amount of development where a new Release could take several months to over a year as a result.

The only supported versions at moment security wise is Firefox 33.0.2 and the 31.2.0esr.

edit [11/1/14]: which of these two [or both?] releases should i download for firefox 32.0.3?

Firefox Setup 32.0.3.exe 24-Sep-2014 05:21 34M Firefox Setup Stub 32.0.3.exe 24-Sep-2014 05:21 238K

I would recommend you go for ESR over those two:

But between the two files there, go for the full installer:

  • Firefox Setup 32.0.3.exe

Hello,

If the following doesn't work, please post this question in a new thread by clicking "Ask A Question" at top.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and select Options
  2. In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the Advanced tab, then select General.
  3. In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
  4. Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
