The profiles are stored in the C:\Users\*yourname*\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles folder (or Documents and Settings instead of appdata in XP) not in the Windows folder. Unless you've saved it or want to try some recovery software (if it hasn't been overwritten) then it's gone. Sorry.
