Bonjour,

I use a master password for Firefox and for Thunderbird (the same password). How is it possible to type this password only once when I start Firefox and Thunderbird ?

They are two different programs and access two different passwords saved in two different locations.

just because you have used the same password to run in different software does not mean you access both symultaneously by entering the password for one.

General info: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Master_password

If I discover something otherwise i'll let you know.

Bonjour,

Thank you Toad-Hall for your answer. I thought that, perhaps, somebody could have had the idea of creating an addon for solving this problem ... which is not actually a problem !

If you used SeaMonkey you would be able to use the password only once because SM can handle both browsing and email.

Bonjour,

Thank you finitarry for your answer. I never used SeaMonkey. Is it possible to install addons in SeaMonkey as in Thunderbird and in Firefox ? the same addons ? I could not miss my favorite addons ! Is SeaMonkey available in Kubuntu ?

SeaMonkey can take extensions and themes. Some extensions for Firefox and Thunderbird do not work in SeaMonkey because the interface is different under the surface. There is a converter that will fix some extensions so that they will install in SeaMonkey, and some of those do work. To get SeaMonkey: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/
