https.google.nl/firefox can't be found
All of a sudden when i press the Firefox homepage button to go to the homepage ´´https://www.google.nl/firefox´´, i get the error ``The requested URL /firefox was not found on this server.´´ It has never happend before. I can reach the normal Google page, but i like the Firefox one better. It has been my homepage for years. Can you please help me?
Thanks in advance.

I've seen a thread that https://www.google.com/firefox had been taken down earlier, so it is possible that the nl domain has lasted longer. It happens more often that not all localized Google domains behave the same.

On November 30, 2014, Google's worldwide agreement with Mozilla ended, so maybe they've taken down the old page? The old .com one leads to a standard-looking Google page now: http://www.google.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official
Google never really maintained the old Firefox start page ever since Firefox 4.0 was released anyways as about:home became the default homepage then.
Thanks for your reply. But i could still reach the Firefox Google page even after november 30 . Today also, until a few hours ago. So maybe Google waited 10 days and took down the page today?
Thanks for your reply. Is it possible that maybe the 404 error has some other reason? Or that it could be down temporary?

That's too bad for me. Because the google/firefox page was much better than the ordinary google page. It had so many visible options wich i could see and go to directely without opening the google tab list on the right of the page in the normal google searchpage. Plus what i dislike the most on the normal Google page is that the name Google on the page is huge. I wish it was as small as on the Firefox Google page.
Thanks all for your help.
hello arifi, you can also set the default firefox homepage ("about:home" as james has mentioned before).
Yeah i knew that Philipp, but on the about:home page are less options than on the previous Firefox Google page. There were lots of options like where you could choose the maximum/minimum age of pages that you are looking for in Google. It was just so much better. I wish someone could make some Firefox addon to create an own Google homepage.
Thanks Philipp.
Hi arifi, you can use a custom style rule to hack the results page and relocate the "Search Tools" back to the left column. This one works with the Stylish extension (although I no longer use it myself):
https://userstyles.org/styles/78857/google
Example of it in operation is attached. (The block buttons are unrelated to this userstyle.)
Thanks Jscher, I will look into it and try to learn and try this style. At this moment it gives me Sorry, an error occurred loading the code - status 404.
Thanks.
Here's another userstyle along the same lines: https://userstyles.org/styles/95110/google-search-tools-back
The display is a bit different (screen shot attached).
Thanks Jscher2000. It is actualy not the way the Google page looks like wich i don't like (not used to it because i used Google/Firefox for years), it is more the easy options that are missing wich were in the Firefox Google homepage. And ofcourse i also mis the search bar wich was at the top of the page. On the present Google page it is in the middle. If there is any option to drag the search bar to the top like it was in the Firefox Google page, it would be great. But i think there is no such option.
But i will just have to get used to it after many years on the perfect Firefox Google page. Thanks again.
