Forgotten passwords are reset with your email provider. Thunderbird is email client software that runs on your computer and has nothing to do with administering your email password.

Go to your providers web mail or email help page and see if your password works there. If not, look for a link to reset it. If it works there then you may have an incorrect server setting or an overactive antivirus software causing issues.
