I have noticed high battery usage from a Samsung apk called RIL Service mode (Radio Interference Layer) when running Fennec 32.0.3. My device is a Samsung S4 sgh-m919 running 4.2.2 (Samsung-RIL is the free software Radio Interface Layer that implements the Samsung IPC protocol and interfaces libsamsung-ipc and the Android framework) I've tried fennec 33 and 34 neither seem to work correctly on Samsung devices running 4.2.2. I've requested help from Mozilla before about other problems and never received any more help then "Were sorry your having a problem. We don't actively monitor our email"

Can you please define what you mean by work correctly, when submitting a performance bug what is expected vs what is actually happening is usually asked for.

Currently the Nightly version of Firefox update more often then the stable releases of Firefox. It is on a rapid release cycle.

Also the Telementary data sent on the browsers can help improve the performance. There are also automated tests done to check performance of different platforms.

If you are interested in providing a test case example this could help create a bug. There are have these tools to test the performance of the profile as well: This will test the javascript engine for android local host builds these test can be reproduced here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../Profiling_with_the_Built-in_Profiler#Profiling_Firefox_mobile

However for battery performance, this might be a question for the OEM of the phone, but this might help: http://www.maketecheasier.com/mprove-battery-life-android-kitkat/

We look forward to your reply

Also Mozilla does not do any one on one email, phone or chat support. The email address you tried may have been for sending out stuff versus getting replies.

As Guigs suggests 32 is a old build of Firefox. Checking to see if the build 'Android (ARMv7, 3.0 Honeycomb and above)' at https://nightly.mozilla.org functions on your device would be best.

ver 33, 34, and 34.0.1 don't work at all browser just closes 15 sec after opening. When viewing my battery stats I noticed the RIL had the same runtime as firefox and was consuming 9% battery. I rebooted the phone and problem cleared. But why was firefox causing my RIL apk to use so much battery. I know this is a Samsung apk maybe you have a problem with Samsung devices. As I stated above 33, 34, 34.0.1 are not working at all
