Spell Check in input text boxes
Hi,
I am basically looking for an addon which will spell check every word on the page. I have found that Mozilla's does not catch mistakes when you are typing words into certain input boxes (like this one). If there is another solution, I am happy to have that, instead of an addon as well ;)
Thanks Niels

You can set the layout.spellcheckDefault pref to 2 on the about:config page. That will enable the spelling checker for single line input fields and multi line text areas.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
This does not fix the problem. I changed the value and restarted. When I tested to see if it would work it failed to do so is there anything else I needed to do?
Works for me.
Did you check in the right-click context menu that "Check Spelling" has a tick?
Anywhere I can check, it it comes up as ticked. In certain input fields however, the right click context menu has been replaced. Is there away of bypassing that so that it will spell check inside the fields?
What context menu do you see in such a case?
You can try to toggle dom.event.contextmenu.enabled to false on the about:config page.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
Can you post a link if the above didn't help?
You can also check what element gets selected if you right-click this field.
