Sometimes at Windows or Ubuntu 14.o4 LTS someone attack and get that my PC lost the light of my screen (This is BLACK my screen) or get to re-boot the machine, I have Antivirus AVAST with Internet Security, other application is with windows I apply the NetStat Agent (Excellent product - protect my ARP, and get the address by router from dynamic to STATIC, in this moment for write this quetion I use this application, and thanks for this, Its possible to Ask this question-case ), also i use the Microsoft Essencials , and my Operation System is Win 7 32 Bits , but the same happen with other machine with 64 Bits, my Modem router is Arrys Motorola and appear its good and clean, I send reports and data thats its possible to help me to analysis. Are you talking about when your screen goes black and the screen saver turns on and it goes into sleep mode?
If so you can check in your operating system settings and change the time and select to turn off the internet with the screen saver is on (I would assume this is default)
