Thunderbirtd 38.1.0 I have three gmail addresses, two yahoo and one gmx. Yahoo and gmx function normally using Master Password, but Gmail requires the Master password for each gmail account. So, I have to enter the master password four times.

When setting up the Master Password a pop up appears for each gmail address asking me to accept Thunderbird. I accept.

I note that the gmail passwords are encrypted in the Thunderbird Saved Passwords list.

this add-on appears to have security issues and other problems

What security issues? Currently the add-on is your best bet to deal with the multiple master password prompts issue. It is of course entirely up to you to use it or not.

Thank you but this add-on appears to have security issues and other problems. Thunderbird should be able to do Master Password without add-ons.
