My bookmarks have completely disappeared!
I went into my Bookmarks file to pull an old saved bookmark and found that all my bookmarks are gone (I have hundreds)! I followed online directions to go to Bookmarks Library, Select Import and Backup and then Select Restore, where I selected the oldest file under Restore. Supposedly that would have restored my files from that older date, but it did not. None of my bookmarks have reappeared! I would appreciate any help. (I use Firefox in Windows 7, if that helps.) Thanks!

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file (bookmarks, history) in the Firefox profile folder.

Note that the name of a JSON bookmarks backup file includes a total item count (folders and separators included) and an hash value to prevent saving the same backup more than once.
- bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.jsonlz4.
