Is it possible to do a complete backup of a open tab?
For example, when playing some (local) html5/javascript game which lacks the ability to save game progress, can I backup the game state using firefox just like quick save/load of some game emulators?

The Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles article has instructions on how to backup your entire Profile, which contains your settings, saved passwords, browsing history, and other data. If you just want to backup your bookmarks, the Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer article can help.
