Firefox won't load web pages unless I reset every time I restart it.
A few days ago I started my computer and as usual I opened Firefox, FF would not load any pages what-so-ever.. I went over to Chrome and checked on what could be done. The only thing that worked was Shift clicking firefox and resetting it. It worked if I did that, but next time I started Firefox it would do the same thing, load no pages until it was reset. It's giving no error messages and I can quickly load pages on an alternate browser (chrome)

It must have been one of those bizarre, arcane problems. Turns out starting Firefox from the bottom task bar on windows 7 means it would not work.. Which is what I normally do. Double clicking the Firefox icon on the desktop seems to work properly. I don't know why or how it's doing this but I think my problem is solved, I unpinned FF from the task bar and now everything is good. Thank you for your help!

What is your computer system and Firefox?
Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and AVG.
I've tried your suggestions and unfortunately they didn't work.
also, my fire fox version is 44.0

That was very good work. Well Done.
It might have been the "pin" was bad. See if you can make a new one.
