how do I get the emails filed in folder in my yahoo.com email account
My email account is in yahoo (sbcglobal.com). Install v38.x and was able to get to connect to my email account. When I click on get messages, it seems like it is getting them but I don't see them when I search. The specific emails were save in a folder on the email system (ex: orders). Is it because it's in a folder and I need to do something else to get them down or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you set the account in Thunderbird as IMAP? POP only connects to the inbox.
Hi Airmail, thank you for the pointer as I'm new to Thunderbird. I used the automatic connection, and as I look at the set up (see attached), there's not an edit choice for me. How can I change to IMAP?
You do not change the existing account. This article explains the process. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/switch-pop-imap-account
Then I suggest to read up on the differences between POP and IMAP so there are no surprises.
Hi Airmail,
Read the reference links and it seems like sbcglobal.net (yahoo, AT&T) does not support IMAP :-(. It seems to me if the POP3 only pick up mail from InBox of the email provider, then I should be able to move emails filed in folder to InBox and it will come to Thumderbird. But that does not seems to be the case. Is it something else I need to do? Does it based on last download date some where in Thunderbird?
Yahoo supports IMAP. So if scglobal are using yahoo then they do by default.
I suggest you try these manual settings http://settings.email/sbcglobal.net-email-settings.html
