In Thunderbird I am getting emails from friends who are in my address book. They are being marked as junk by Thunderbird even though I have checked the box in settings "do not mark messages as junk from people in my address book" I have tried to mark these messages as "not Junk" but the junk logo comes back in a minute or so. Can this be stopped? thank you Rory

The issue is Yahoo have their own spam filter, the filter continuously checks all folders and uses it's own rues to classify mail as spam.

The down side is IMAP mail accounts are synchronized to the server, and as this spam filter has no opt out. there is no way to stop their server from reclassifying your mail over and over again.

I suggest you contact Rogers asking them how to opt out of the silly spam filter. Perhaps as a customer you will have better luck than I have had getting information from Yahoo. (I feel I might as well try and get a t-rex to talk to me. The lack of responses would be the same)

Yahoo IMAP demonstrates this sort of thing. Are you using Yahoo?
