I can't seem to find a stop button, unless there is another way to have Firefox stop a superslow or unresponsive web site.
I want to stop Firefox from trying to D/L a website or a web page that is super-super slow in loading, or seems to caught in causality loop or something. I have to shut down the browser in order to get away from that particular problem.

On most browsers, the X and the reload circle on the address bar will change places. X to stop the page when loading. And then the reload circle takes its place when the page is loaded.

Thanx to FredMcD-
I guess I was just used to seeing a separate STOP button. Old dog, new tricks and all that.
Thanx again dewey dawson groton, NY
You can have both, and more with this;
Many of us are using; Classic Theme Restorer (Customize Australis) {web link} Restore squared tabs, appmenu, add-ons bar, small button view and more on Australis UI (Windows/MacOSX/Linux + Fx 29+).
This will restore many of the things the last upgrades took away.
