I moved my Thunderbird folder from a WD Mycloud drive to an internal drive and not all the information transferred.
Some of the email accounts showed up, but my main inbox and all the backed up subfolders aren't there. I had copied the folder from the WD My cloud drive over. I got some of my folders, not the main one. But, in the subfolders of the inbox there were lots of folders that look like Thunderbird program folders.
The reason I wanted to move the folder was that sometimes the WD mycloud is sluggish and Thunderbird can't start up. I thought it would run better from an internal drive. I don't believe the data is lost. The folder is 28 gigs or so which is about right I think. But the folder structure didn't work for some reason.
I did try un/re-installing thunderbird with the same results. I would be happy going back to the WD Mycloud drive except now when I select that drive I get an error saying it isn't a valid location for Thunderbird.

The problem was that the local folders local directory was set to the original directory on the cloud drive. Changing it to the Local Folders directory on the internal drive got everything back to where it should be.
