Windows 10 handwriting panel buttons (enter, del, space) don't work correctly in Firefox

more options

Hi, when using the Windows 10 handwriting panel, Firefox does not correctly handle the on-screen buttons (enter, del, space).

  • "space"
  • Expected: clear the panel to allow for continued writing.
  • Actual: The panel is cleared, but the next handwriting input replaces the previous input.
  • "enter"
  • Expected: submit the text, for example, in the URL bar.
  • Actual: The panel is cleared, but Firefox doesn't act as if "enter" were pressed and the next handwriting input replaces the previous input.
  • "del"
  • Expected: the previous character or word are erased.
  • Actual: The panel is cleared, but the next handwriting input replaces the previous input.

This continued happening in Firefox Safe Mode. When I try the same actions in Chrome, the on-screen buttons work as expected.

I couldn't find any other reports of this, and I don't have another stylus-compatible computer to test it with. Can anyone reproduce this? Thanks much!
