Hello

I'm trying to configure Unified Write Filter (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/customize/enterprise/unified-write-filter) file and registry exclusions for Firefox, so it can do automatic updates through the write filter. For this I need all registry and file locations Firefox uses, so I can make the automatic updates persist.

Thanks

Appdata is basically where personal data and configurations are stored. You can remove everything related to "Mozilla" or "Firefox" there, but everything else is quite essential. I would advise not deleting everything.

Forgot to clarify that I am using Windows 10 Enterprise with 1703 update.

Your best bet would probably be here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox or a similar nearby location.

I think I got the registry exclusion set up correctly. I'm still wondering where Firefox stores updates.

I wish I could help you with that one. Maybe advanced Firefox users may be able to help you with that. I would assume it has similar signatures and pathing of the registry. Try looking in Mozzila or Software directories.

Program files (x86) has Firefox's files, but there are also some files in the %userprofile%\appdata\ path. I'd like to know if these are crucial and need to be excluded.
