Just installed Firefox 57 and all info included in REMINDERFOX addon is GONE ! Many years of important dates, appointments, etc. no longer available. WHY NO WARN
Without going to prior version and risk really messing EVERYTHING up, how do I regain all my dates, info, etc? Thanks....I just can't believe Mozilla wouldn't give fair warning to backup before installing new version.

Hello, if you've followed on the blog -- and news surrounding Firefox in general you would have known about this, fear not though! You can fix this! Backup your profile with all of that data -- then downgrade to 52 ESR, which can be downloaded from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ -- In you fresh new ESR profile, copy the data from your old regular Firefox profile, your information should be right where you had it.
I do so appreciate your willingness to help, however, how do I backup my profile ? When I clicked on PROFILE it only showed 1 question and my username. Am I not looking in the correct place ? There is NO ICON available for REMINDERFOX.
Copy the profile folder from it's location -- click show location, and drag it to the desktop -- downgrade to 52 ESR with a fresh profile, then drag the entire contents of this folder to the new profile folder.
Sorry to hear about this problem, and I understand that it's an unhappy surprise.
According to its documentation, ReminderFox stores its data in a .ics file, which is also known as an iCal file. There is a good chance this file can be imported into an online calendar service (e.g., Microsoft, Google) or another program if you cannot use it with a Firefox extension.
See: http://www.reminderfox.org/documentation-faq-troubleshooting/#r5
Note: AppData is a hidden folder, so set Windows to show hidden files and folders before looking for it: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
You also can open your currently active profile folder from inside Firefox using the steps in this article: Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
Edit: Here is a thread from the developers about exporting your data and using it in another calendar: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/reminderfox/ZX3Hsm3R1jU

Normally all Firefox versions use the same path for profile folders -- on Windows 10, that's
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
-- so you might go ahead and try installing the ESR release without moving your current profile folder.
Then you can use the Profile Manager to create a clean new profile if you want to do a selective migration: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles.
Note: If you move your currently active profile folder, Firefox likely will be confused at your next startup. In that case, follow the steps in this article: How to run Firefox when your profile is missing or inaccessible.
Glad I could be of help!
Whew ! It worked ! Wish I could buy y'all a cyber beer...I do so APPRECIATE your combined efforts ! Thanks again.
