Hi, new sites will continue to show up in top sites as you browse the web, you can pin what you want to keep there.
You can set the number of tiles via this pref on the about:config page.
- browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesCount
There is a "Show two rows" item in the cogwheel button drop-down list on the new tab page.
