Question about password vault
I use FireFox 57.0.2 (64-bit) on Win-7.
Whenever I sign into a web site, FireFox says "Would you like FireFox to save this login for live.com? "Save", "Don't save" and "v"
If I click the "v" and select "Never save this login",
On every subsequent time that I l log into this site, it still asks whether I want to save it or not. No, I don't. I already said I will NEVER want to.
Is there a setting somewhere that controls this?
Thanks.

In Settings, under Privacy, you can uncheck the Remember passwords option, or click Exceptions beside it.
Do you see the exception appear in the password exception window if you click 'never'?
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security: Logins: Exceptions
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/delete-browsing-search-download-history-firefox
- clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
- clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep
Hmmm... Yes, when I click 'never', I do see the exception. However, I delete cache and cookies on exiting FireFox. I have now unchecked "Site preferences", so I guess that'll fix it.
Many thanks for the advice.
You're welcome.
If you previously cleared the Site Preferences tne this would explain why you lost the exceptions.
