I specifically need Firefox 55.0.3 in order for Firebug 2.0.13 and Firepath 0.9.7.1.1 to work properly.

So, I have : - selected "Never check for updates (not recommended: security risk)" option - unchecked "Use a background service to install updates"

Inspite of this, I'm seeing that Firefox gets automatically updated to 56.0 Please fix/advise.

It will continue to. It is forced updated. Nothing Volunteer Support can do. To submit suggestions for new or changed features, may I suggest: Feedback: https://qsurvey.mozilla.com/s3/FirefoxInput/

See if this will suit you. It does get many updates as is always a beta It does have a compatibility mode so can run 2 at once. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
