I never use this feature. It just clutters the folder context menu, and is a place to click on by mistake.

Anyone know of an add-on (or config setting) that will let me hack the context menu to get rid of it? Even better, to get rid of the "favorite folder" feature altogether?

Thanks.

Never mind. I found the add-on "menu wizard" which can do this for me, i.e. remove it from the context menu. Removing whatever bloat the feature itself causes is another matter, though, unfortunately.
