On my screen, the page looks perfect. I see all of my header and footer info in full. However, when I print that page, the first number of "Page # of #" is halved, as is the end of my "Date/Time". For example, I have "1 of 4" on the left bottom corner of the page, but the number "1" is barely showing. On the right bottom of the page, the date/time shows like "3/3/2018, 12:34 PM", but the "M" is partially cut off. Similar instances with my header information but, I really need the footer info to show in their entirety. I've printed similar documents using other browsers and have had no problems; everything shows fine, and I've also had my printers checked today and they're working fine. Please help. Thanks!

Hi SCBrown, Firefox tends to print very close to the edges and some printers may require a little more margin. This probably will require a little experimentation.

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste unwr and pause while the list is filtered

You should see a number of preferences for your printer with names containing unwriteable_margin toward the end. For example:

print.printer_Adobe_PDF.print_unwriteable_margin_bottom

(3) Double-click each margin you want to change and give it a value in 1/100 of an inch such as:

  • 10 => 1/10 of an inch
  • 25 => 1/4 of an inch

You might need that on all four sides.

Can you find values that work well for your printer?

jscher2000, thank you so much! This worked like a charm! I selected "5" for all the printer options and the documents look great! Thanks again!
