A message appeared asking to make Chrome my default - I clicked X to ignore this message - then my Firefox browser and all links disappeared - HELP!
As in this question; also cannot open any links present in word-processed text. Can I get the links back? I do not want to re-install Firefox and this happens again.

Hi Helplease, Thank you for your question, I think two things may have happened you hid the Firefox windows or you closed Firefox.
Nevertheless, you can reopen Firefox by clicking on the icon, then by restoring the session from last time. Restore previous session - Configure when Firefox shows your most recent tabs and windows
Can you describe this " also cannot open any links present in word-processed text. Can I get the links back?" a little more, I am not sure if you are talking about links in a text editor or something else.
Thank you, we look forward to your reply.
Note that on Windows 10 things can go wrong with the default browser setting.
Thank you for your replies. When I lost the Browser nothing at all happened whenever I clicked on any of the Firefox icons on the computer. In wordprocessed text containing hyperlinks, clicking on the hyperlink results in nothing happening. From the outset only Windows 10 has been on this computer. I am afraid to set up a new Firefox Browser in case this happens again and all the links stored on the Browser are lost again. Explorer, Edge and Google all work O.K. Please advise.
From what I understand, if you click on a link from a word processor, nothing happens.
Can you explain what these links are a little bit more so I can understand?
I think you may be describing an external link not opening up in Firefox, which sounds like was your default browser?
It also sounds like Firefox is not starting. Since there is no error message, I might suggest these steps next: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-wont-start-find-solutions#w_...
Your personal data like bookmarks is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose personal data when you reinstall or update Firefox, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
