scrolling a little jerky, in the safari scrolling is much smoother than in the fox. are there any options to make the scrolling (trackpad) as smooth as possible?

The problem could be anything including loose wire, bad hardware, CPU slowdown . . . . . On my laptop, the mouse pad keeps sending signals even when I don't touch it. I finally selected the option; "Disable when mouse detected."

can i disable smooth scrolling for trackpad? about:config settings works only for mouse. but not for trackpad
