Recently replaced Outlook with T'bird 52.8.0 (32 bit). I have multiple GMAIL accounts POPed down to T'bird. I want all downloaded gmail to go into one (LOCAL) folder. Suggestions? TIA

You say "POPed down" - are you actually using POP?

If so, you can get your accounts to share a common Inbox.

Open Account Settings. Select one of your accounts, select its Server Settings tab. Under Message Storage, click the button labelled Advanced, The resulting dialogue allows you to select which folder to use as its Inbox.

The Inbox under Local Folders is the recommended folder for this type of account aggregation.

Repeat for each of your gmail accounts.

If you have indeed set up using IMAP and this setting is really important to you, it's probably worth switching your accounts over to POP.

Personally I use many individual accounts and I like to keep them separate. I use View|Folders|Unread to keep an eye on new messages.

If you are using IMAP or a mixture of POP and IMAP and are unable or unwilling to change to POP, then the remaining option is to use the View|Folders|Unified view, which has the effect of making common folders coalesce (or at least appear to) into a shared virtual folder. So you'd have several standard folders, e.g. Inbox, Sent, Trash, Junk, Drafts, each of which would be a composite of all your accounts. Each of these virtual folders can be expanded to see the contributing account folders.
